3) There are many times when the drivers to your wide-format printer may become corrupted. There is no error message, or directions that alert you to this fact, it just happens. If you are troubleshooting your printer and nothing seems to be working for you, you should consider the fact that you may have corrupted software drivers. This can be easily fixed. The first thing that you do is to find the software drivers that came with your printer. Once you have located these, you should then uninstall the printer from your computer. You should then restart the computer when the software is finished uninstalling. Once the computer is restarted, you then reinstall the software drivers. You should then restart the computer once more to ensure that the system settings are updated. Once this is done, you can turn the printer on, and try to print out your project.
4) The next step to troubleshooting your wide-format printer is to try to print from the computer when it is in “safe mode”. It is relatively easy to set your computer to safe mode. The first thing that you do is restart your computer. Once the initial screen comes up, press the “F8” key. You will then select the “safe mode” option from the screen. Once this particular page loads, you can try to print the project that you initially started.
5) If all of the above steps have failed while trying to troubleshoot your printer, you should contact the company that made the printer for further instructions.
